Review

This is a song that uses aquatic sounds for a change and the song uses the sounds well to create an atmosphere of the sea. The song starts strong, with lots of tracks playing at the same time, to give lots of layers of aquatic ambience. At about 4 minutes, the song starts to use a light electronic melody with the abstract tracks, and this adds lots to the aquatic atmosphere in the song, because the instrument used for the melody feels like the sea and maybe water because of the light tone. This track appears again later in the song, and between the times the track appears the song continues as normal, using the layers of sound and ambience to make a great atmosphere. Its hard to recognise every layer used at the same time, and understand every detail used to create the atmosphere, however every layer of the song is very important in keeping the atmosphere strong. At about 17 minutes, there is a sound of something that sounds like a sea animal, in particular, animal of the deep, but maybe this is caused by the feeling of the song, and how the sound of the animal should reflect the atmosphere. At about 20 minutes, lots of layers stop, to cut into the electronic melody, and also drone in the background. This cuts out after about 2 seconds also, and then theres nothing but the drone and also more unknown sounds. Now, the song is lots more quiet than before, and theres less layers than before also, and this feels like travelling to part of the deep sea, where theres less life, and so lots more quiet and lonely. This turns the atmosphere lots more dark, and helps to build on the deep nature through using things that sound like the deep see, like the deep bass and heavy drone. When you are near the end of the song the song decays over time, because at the start, its lively and theres lots happening, but now, with 10 minutes to go, theres not lots happening at all, and the dark, deep drone only. This is excellent, and follows the theme of traveling into the deep sea well. The theme, with the fact that the song is very pleasant, causes this song to be one of the best Bull of Heaven songs.
