Review

It feels like 017, in a way because of the length and the fact that the song is very different to everything else. The song starts with distorted guitar noises, loud and coarse. It sounds interesting, but it stops after only 3 seconds, and then changes to low drone with a focus on low bass. The rest of the song keeps the focus on the low drone, but like lots of Bull of Heaven songs, the song has some different things that add, like the distorted voice tracks used through the whole song. The voice tracks used are impossible to understand, because they have been slowed down, and also reversed. This creates a very strange atmosphere, because of the fact that the voices used are human, but because of the distortion, are satanic. At the 21 minute 30 second mark, the song starts to use another voice track, but this time you can understand the talking. The talking is from a conspiracy theorist, but because of the track being slowed down, it sounds like a very drunk person. With the bass in the background and the dark tone, it adds lots to the satanic atmosphere. Also, the track cuts out sometimes for short times and is replaced with something that sounds like data corruption. On the 28 minute 40 second mark, the voice track stops, and the low drone with the first voice track is the main focus again. About five minutes later, the drone starts to change a little bit also, with random changes in volume helping to distort the drone. This starts to happen with other sounds also, like the deep beat that plays through the entire song. Near the 59 minute mark, the song starts to change a little, as it uses a fast sound like a 'bleep', and then the drone starts to fade out, so that the voice track is the only thing thats playing, however this is a random thing, and doesnt happen in a loop. The voice changes at the 1 hour 7 minute mark also, and starts to become more distorted and incomprehensible, and then the beep sound happens again. To finish, the song is like 017 in more ways than one because it continues for too much time. Despite this its a good track because of the dark atmosphere and the ideas with the voice tracks.
