Lân has heard good things about this track, and decided to see why.
It starts with noisy electronic guitar, over a slow guitar track and
drums to match. At about 3 minutes, the track changes to use a little
bit of a voice track, and changes everything. The song calms down
for a short time, using a different guitar melody, before starting
to speed up. The drums return to the song, but this time much more
distorted, and also strange vocal effects sometimes. This creates a
very intense atmosphere, definitely because of the distortion on the
drums, because this makes the drums sound like noise more than a drum.
One thing about this song is the fact that the song doesnt stay the same
for too much time, and changes lots very fast, with lots of different
segments in a short period of time. At 11 minutes 30 seconds, everything
changes again, but the song isnt similar to the last part. This time
everything cuts out into a strange noise segment. The voice from earlier
continues, but its more distorted and barely human. The guitar has lots
of distortion too, with lots of changes in pitch and speed, sometimes
changing to the point that you cant recognise it as a guitar at all,
and it becomes pure noise. As the song continues, the song looses more
and more resembelance to the song in the first half, and drowns into
noise without anything recognisable as music. The song looses some
intensity about 3 minutes before the end, and it calms down a little,
but it still sounds really crazy, and not like anything else in Bull
of Heaven's discography. To finish, the track is great! The first half
does a great job of creating nice sounds with the guitar and drums,
and also uses changes in melody well to create an exciting and unique
atmosphere. In the last half, the noise aspect shows itself clearly,
and again, the changing nature of the song helps the song to feel
intense, and also to stay very interesting. Awesome!
