Review

Back to drone after listening to 299, and this is a very strange track. Its a noisy, coarse and heavy drone, with some effects thrown on top of the noise, and sometimes effects in the main drone. When listening to the track, theres not any obvious pattern at all, and its likely that the other sounds are random, without order. The song keeps doing the same thing for the entire song, and the song feels like its an experiment in texture more than a song... Despite this Lân enjoys the song, and the way the distortion and layers ontop of the drone are done is very interesting, and creates a unique experience when listening, even if the song doesnt change at all. To talk about the texture of the song, its strange, and difficult to give one word to the feeling, maybe metallic? Its just a dark and abstract atmosphere and theres not anything you can use to describe the sound of the song perfectly, but its dark for sure. The main drone is very coarse, and it isnt continuous, and there are some changes in volume and pitch in the drone, as part of the changes in the song. The metallic aspect comes from the frequent sounds that sound a little like a singing bowl, or maybe like creaking metal, hence the metallic sound, and the creak is a dark sound also. Unfortunately theres not much to say for this also, because of the repetitive nature theres only a little to say. However, the song is great and enjoyable.
