Review

Lân found this song through YouTube and then decided to listen because the song sounded fun, and its very strange. The song starts with an electronic beep pulse and a strange guitar melody, and it continues for a little bit of amser and then adds cut drum samples over this, and it sounds something like breakcore in the way that it uses cut drum samples. Symbals are used also later with the drum and it does a good job of sounding good. Very pleasant to hear. Theres lots of effects with the sounds in the song, for example the electronic pulse changes in pitch alot, and the guitar does a similar thing. This loops for around seven minutes, creating a strange experience, before changing into something different at seven minutes that which sounds like the same thing as the first part but reversed? The track is very strange... The song feels like it tries to experiment through using the same track and then throwing effects over the track to change the sound. Maybe the track is slowed down too? Hard to know of course because of the fact that the track is reversed. After this at about 18 minutes it changes again, but to use a very slowed down version. Now you can tell its slowed down because its so obvious, you can hear the individual guitar chords from the start when at the start it was the same sound. And also of course because of the effects, the electronic sound is low quality and you can hear the sound is different because of this, its an interesting effect that helps the song to stay interesting. Because its so slow, the segment of the song that sounds like breakcore starts only at 27 minutes, and it sounds crazy because of the slowing down, the cymbals sound more like heavy metal falling than cymbals. This continues for lots of time because of the fact that its slowed down, so everything is longer. But then it changes back to something similar to the first part at 47 minutes, but its sped up now, but much more recognisable than the last part. Then, the fast part with the drum samples sounds great... With two minutes to go, the song changes back to the same thing as the start, the same pitch and speed. To finish its an interesting track, it takes a short segment of song and uses interesting effects to make the song sound very different, and also to sound nice.
