This is a track that focuses on the guitar, and uess lots more chords
than other tracks that use the instrument. The song feels like the title,
because of the small changes over time, it feels like the change of
seasons, and so 'The First Pinecone', something that shows itself early
in the autumn, is a good title. The track is more complex than other
Bull of Heaven tracks, like 125, 017 029 etc and it uses the complexity
greatly, and you can lose yourself in the sounds of the song, and the
laters and layers of melodies. At about 20 minutes, the track adds another
layer, and now its a loud drone sound above the guitar. Theres one more
layer of guitar also, but this time its very distorted, and sounds metallic.
This is a great way to continue the progression of the guitar, and of
course, its perfect with the rest of the song. The drone changes also,
but it can be hard to notice because of the other things that are happening.
To be honest, next to everything in the song changes, but its hard to
notice, again. Because of the layers, the song starts to feel intense,
but in a great way because theres lots to listen to and everything is
so perfect in the track and the way it mixes with the other layers
is incredible. Its impossible to remember what is added and when, but
this isnt important. The only thing thats important in this track is
the way the song uses the instruments to create an intense and incredible
atmosphere. Lân wont describe the song, as she has done in the past,
because you need to listen to the song yourself to understand how the
song feels. So, to finish, the song is next to perfect, to be honest,
and Lân doesnt think that theres anything that could be better. Incredible
experience.
